Meeting with Lithuanian American writer Rūta Šepetys
The Embassy of Lithuania cordially invites to a meeting with the prominent Lithuanian American writer Rūta Šepetys on 1 July at 5 pm at the Embassy of Lithuania to Ireland (47 Ailesbury road, D04P224 Dublin).
Rūta Šepetys grew up in the United States , yet she knows her Lithuanian roots and history very well. Rūta's historical novel "Between Shades of Gray" about the exile of Lithuanians to Siberia during the Second World War has received exceptional acknowledgment amongst the readers and critics. The New York Times bestseller has been translated into many languages and film adaption has been made (“Ashes in the snow”, 2018).
During the event you will have the opportunity to meet the author, ask the questions and learn more about Rūta‘s most recent book “You – The Story”.
