Medal of Honour awarded to the former Ambassador of Ireland to Lithuania

Former Ambassador of Ireland to Lithuania Donal Denham was awarded at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania on August 19th with the Medal of Honour Lithuanian Diplomacy Star for his contribution to developing bilateral relations. During the ceremony of the Medal presentation, Ambassador of Lithuania in Ireland Egidijus Meilūnas said that Mr. Donal Denham greatly contributed to cooperation and partnership between the two countries during his tenure of office as the first resident Ambassador of Ireland to Lithuania. The Ambassador of Lithuania also expressed his appreciation to the former Ambassador for his current active input in developing bilateral economic relations, tourism in particular. Last year Ambassador Denham brought together a group of Irish nationals interested in Lithuania to establish the Lithuania- Ireland Network.

Donal Denham, the Ambassador of Ireland to Lithuania in 2005-2010, expressed his delight with fruitful cooperation and partnership between the two countries. The Ambassador assured that he would continue contributing to bilateral relations between Lithuania and Ireland.
