Lithuanian Straw Garden Exhibition and Workshop
Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Ireland invites you to a historical Lithuanian workshop of straw garden making with a remarkable master from Lithuania. The cherished Lithuanian tradition of straw garden making deeply embedded within our country’s history was inscribed on UNESCO’s List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity last year. Unique straw garden motives became a symbol of this year’s Lithuanian Song Celebration, which marks 100 years anniversary of the tradition. Besides Baltic Song Celebrations is also inscribed on UNESCO’s List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Lithuanian cultural heritage will be combined with modern technologies, as the visitors will be invited to get acquainted with Lithuania via VR headset.
