LITHUANIAN SCHOOL IN CORK CELEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY
On the 10th of October Ambassador of Lithuania Izolda Bričkovskienė took part in the opening ceremony of a new season of Lithuanian school “Banga” in Cork, Ireland’s second biggest town. Ambassador greeted teachers, students and their parents and shared the joy of a chance to learn Lithuanian language while being away from home. There will be three teachers working in school while thirty five students came to the opening ceremony. It is expected that the number of pupils is going to increase.
Today there are four Lithuanian weekend schools established in Ireland – in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Dundalk.
