Lithuania presented at the Holiday World Show
The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania participated in the Irelands biggest yearly tourism event, the Holiday World Show 2015, which took place at RDS Dublin on 23th-25th of January. Interactive and innovative screen created by Lithuanian IT company Gluk Media presented the features and main tourism attractions of Lithuania and was well appreciated by Holiday World Show visitors. Lithuanian Stand attracted not only people surfing for the new holiday destinations but also Mr. Michael Ring, Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, and Mr. Martin Skelly, CEO of Irish Travel Agencies Association, who tried out the interactive screen when visiting Lithuanian Stand .
Direct flights from Ireland to Lithuania and a variety of tourist attractions including UNESCO listed heritage, resorts and SPA treatment, nightlife amusements shall be the favorable reasons to increase the number of Irish people visiting Lithuania. This opinion has been shared by renowned tourist guide Lonely Planet, which listed Lithuania in 3rd place among the destinations to visit in 2015.
