Irish tourists find Lithuania as an attractive holiday destination

For a sixth time the Republic of Lithuania has participated in Ireland's largest tourism exhibition, the Holiday World Show Dublin 2020, at the RDS Simmonscourt Dublin. The event, which took place on 24 – 26 of January, is the largest of its kind in the tourism sector.

More frequently, Irish tourists consider continental Europe as an attractive holiday destination. Particularly Lithuania, as it offers new cultural awareness, ecological travelling experience and other fascinating activities. This year, the exhibition attracted more than 40 000 visitors during the three-day event, wherefrom guests of Lithuania stand were able to choose from a wide variety of brochures and get more information about weekend tourism and active recreation opportunities, as well as, take notes about individual traveling routes, such as walking, or either by a bicycle or motorcycle. The visitors were also acquainted with featured itineraries regarding history, pilgrimage and festivals. The booth has been frequented by plenty of Irish guests, our neighbours – Latvians, as well as, long-term Lithuanian residents living in Ireland.

The stand of Lithuania has been arranged by Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Ireland. The Embassy would like to express its kind appreciation to supporters and partners: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, „The Travel Addicts Club“ agency, as well as to the tourism and information centres of Klaipėda and Šiauliai. The installation of the booth was also supported by Irish-Lithuanian companies – Printsky (print works) and MVTransport (transport services).
