Celebration of 25th anniversary of Lithuanian-Irish diplomatic relations
Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Ireland on 21st October invited friends of Lithuania and Lithuanian community in Ireland to commemorate an anniversary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Ireland.
The Ambassador of Lithuania to Ireland Rasa Adomaitienė welcomed guests saying that relations of two countries has started in first half of XX century from trade agreement and has reborn with brand new intensity in 1991. It is symbolic that Lithuania joined European Union while Ireland chaired EU Council.
The performance of young but prominent Lithuanian artists – violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė, cellist Gleb Pyšniak and pianist Gintaras Januševičius – has been dedicated to the event. The perfection of play and artistry as well as elaborated programme of selected works of Lithuanian composers “Window to Lithuania” earned fascination of the audience.
