Lithuania at the International Charity Bazaar'16
The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to Ireland took a part in a traditional International Charity Bazaar in Dublin. Embassy was proud to represent ceramic and handmade jewelry, bread, several types of cheese, traditional Lithuanian Šakotis cake ('Tree cake') and other products. Visitors’ eyes, ears, and hearts were delighted by Lithuanian folk band‘s ‘Lietuviškas Dobilas’ performance.
The wife of President Ms Sabina Higgins, honored the Charity Fair with her presence. She has been accompomies by her daughter, Senator Alice Mary Higgins. Both, Ireland's First Lady and her daughter, praised Lithuanian products and have been fascinated by traditional Lithuanian clothes worn by Ambassador Rasa Adomaitienė and Counsellor Virginija Umbrasienė.
Visitors had an opportunity to get familiar with local dishes, art and craft products from around the world, presented by the Embassies residing in Dublin. International Charity Bazaar is high-attended exposition in Dublin, annually organized by Diplomatic Corps. It was the brilliant opportunity not only to represent the native country but also have a part in fundraising for charities, helping people in need.
